CURRICULUM

The dynamic syllabus is reviewed biannually by a board of studies and ratified by the university’s Academic Council and Indian Nursing Council. the curriculum has followed the Revised Indian Nursing Syllabus, which has the latest inputs. This ensures a balance of sessions and activities that include social work for all-round development. The hospital gives hands on training while regular field visits keep students on their feet.

The undergraduate program gives an understanding of the health sciences with a strong foundation in the basic sciences. The syllabus is structured to teach you English, Computer science, Management, Education, Research and Biostatistics. The postgraduate program gives additional skills in administrative and management areas, while allowing to specialize in medical, surgical, community health, pediatric, obstetrics and gynecology, and psychiatric nursing.

Recognition

The college has been recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, The TamilNadu Nurses and Midwives Council. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has also recognized the college, an important achievement that paves the way for research funding.
